Hiking on the Datca peninsula (program)
During your hiking holiday you will stay in Villa Anfora a small boutique hotel with 19 rooms and a super friendly atmosphere. The walking distance to the city centre is 5 minutes and to the beach as well 5 minutes walking. On Saturday there is a nice ( mainly food ) market near the hotel ( 200 metres) The hotel is based on a not much traffic road in a quiet area and has an outside pool and table tennis.
Day 1: We will get you from Bodrum or Dalaman airport and bring you to Villa Anfora hotel in Datca .The transfer time is about two and a half hours but really worth it.
Day 2; After breakfast we will start to hike today we will walk trough lovers lane ( sevgi yolu to Burgaz where over 2000 years ago the first citizens of Datca lived, we will see some old stone wine coolers near the sea side an ancient harbour and some left overs from walls from here on we will continue to the village from Kizlan with it six old fl mills ‘you can take a look inside them.If we still have the spirit after this we can taste some wine in the Vineyard and buy some nice bottles wine ( to drink on your balcony in the evening with a romantic sea vieuw) price for a bottle of wine is aprox 12 euro
Dag 3; After breakfast we will pick you up from Villa Anfora and we will drive to Emecik ( 30 km ) from here we will start to hike . Today we have more rough terrain and some stunning sea vieuws on our hiking way. So nice pictures guaranteed. After our hike we will go back to Datca .
Dag 4; After breakfast we will go to Palamutbuku (35 km ) and start to hike from there towards Knidos It is a little bit more heavy hiking parcour today because of the steepness. But tomorrow you can enjoy your free time all day and relax.
Dag 5 No hiking today time to relax or go into the city centre to buy some souvenirs.
Dag 6: After breakfast we are heading for Karainc1r to hike in Gavruderisi We will hike near the river ( sometimes a dry river sometimes with water ) towards the beach , over the beach to the ancient yellow harbour from there we will go back to our hotel in Datca .
Dag 7 ; After breakfast we will start to hike from our hotel to eski datca and spend some free time here ( famous for it greek houses and Can yucel ) a Turkish writer who did write its story’s in a corner of a cafe. They sell goat milk ice creams in this village and Almond coffee ( worth a try) from here on we hike to Hizirsah village where you can see the real village life and we drink some tea at a locals house. We will see goats and chickens in the village.and a beautifull hiking path through the mountains on our way between eski Datca and Hizirsah we will visit a church and a silk atelier. The lady over there makes silk blouses and shawls for a very reasonable price ( fully handmade blouse about 60 euro) From Hizirsah village we will return back to the hotel.
Dag 8 ; Our last hiking day. We will start from Hizirsah village where we ended yesterday and hike through the mountains today we will see some waterwells on our way as well as a stunning landscape.
Dag 9; Another day to spend at leisure.
Dag 10; Today we will bring you back to the Airport from Bodrum or Dalaman for your flight back home. We hope to see you again on one of our hiking holidays.
